I was surfing through Vimeo today and came across these videos of Art Basel 2011 that focused on the Wynwood area. Thought they were worth sharing. You can also get a better sense of how crazy it gets here in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District during Art Basel weekend. It’s ironic considering that for the rest of the year, the area is a ghost town.

A beautiful new mural by the twin brothers Raoul and Davide Perre aka HOW and NOSM here in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District for Art Basel 2011. Several weeks back, they completed another mural at Wynwood Walls. More on How and Nosm here.
This mural extends beyond the wall, into the sky and onto the sidewalk.

New York based graffiti artists and muralists HOW and NOSM are currently here in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District working on a new mural. The twin brothers (Raoul and Davide Perre) recently completed a mural at Wynwood Walls and now they’re back just in time to finish another piece for Art Basel 2011. More about How and Nosm here.

Ukrainian duo Aec and Waone, aka Interesni Kazki, have been busy these past few weeks beautifying walls here in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District in preparation for art basel 2011. So far they’ve completed three murals (covered here and here) including this latest insane piece at Wynwood Walls. More on Interesni Kazki here.

I was blown away when I came across this insane mural in progress by Spanish illustrator and street artist, Liqen in preparation for Art Basel 2011. He depicts a maze of businessmen transforming into insects, giant rats, barbed wire and dark looming clouds with amazing detail and perspective. I’m anxious to see how this entire piece turns out. Hopefully, the rain will let up here in Miami long enough for him to finish his piece. I should have updated pics in the next couple of days. More on Liqen here.
