I was blown away when I came across this insane mural in progress by Spanish illustrator and street artist, Liqen in preparation for Art Basel 2011. He depicts a maze of businessmen transforming into insects, giant rats, barbed wire and dark looming clouds with amazing detail and perspective. I’m anxious to see how this entire piece turns out. Hopefully, the rain will let up here in Miami long enough for him to finish his piece. I should have updated pics in the next couple of days. More on Liqen here.

I was in awe when I came across this surreal mural in progress by Ukrainian duo Interesni Kazki, Aec and Waone, in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District in preparation for Art Basel 2011. Came across a new collaborative mural in progress by Mexico City based artists Saner and Sego at Wynwood Walls here in Miami in preparation for Art Basel 2011.

I was very surprised when I stepped into the courtyard at Wynwood Walls today to see that the mural that was recently completed by The Date Farmers was entirely redone. The original pink and brown mural titled “Leo” was completely buffed and replaced by this new blue mural depicting a figure gazing into the night sky. More about The Date Farmers here.
The wall is adorned with round mirrors making up some of the stars.

Street artist ABOVE added the finishing touches to his word-art mural this morning spanning an entire block. His message reads “GIVE A WALL ST BANKER ENOUGH ROPE AND HE WILL HANG HIMSELF”. More about ABOVE here.
